Founded on a dream,
actually two dreams…
…First, the people at Iglesia Evangelica Metodista Peniel de Nicoya, Costa Rica have a dream to feed the hungry children in the poverty-stricken neighborhoods in and around Nicoya.
…And the people of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia, after having conducted four mission trips to Nicoya, have a dream of feeding the children as well.
“We are deeply committed to sponsoring and overseeing the soup kitchen because we believe that the nourishment of the children will lead to the strengthening of the entire community of Nicoya. When we combine their passion, your commitment to help, and the love of God together, we have a recipe for making a difference in the lives of many people.”
Can you imagine not having enough to eat? We live in a country of abundant food and resources. We often see the overwhelming needs of the world and wonder how we can make a difference. In this case, we can make a difference and so can you.
This is a unique situation because a little can make a big difference. It is also unique because, as a mission project of Mt. Pisgah, 100% of the funds you donate will go directly to the Soup Kitchen.
Mother Theresa once said, “We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.”
